GoldStar Industrial Systems began operations in 1968 as the second oldest manufacturer of elevators and escalators in South Korea. After more than 20 years of elevator and escalator business, GoldStar merged with Lucky Chemical in 1994 to rebrand as Lucky Goldstar which shorts for LG (LG Electronics). And the company started in 1995 and continued to make elevators until 1999 when it was acquired by Otis.
Our story began back in 2000 after the closure of LG Industrial Systems Elevator, a division of LG Electronics which manufactured elevators and escalators. As the predecessor of Lucky Goldstar, the division was absorbed and rebranded in 2000 to the birth of LGS Elevator Korea. The company has continued to make quality elevators and escalators with a reputation as one of the best and most reliable elevator companies in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
At LGS Elevator, we develop customized elevators and escalators to suit the design of our client’s building. Apart from focusing on the ride and safety, we also take into consideration the efficient use of the space. It is our intention to provide you with a product that will not only increase the value of your building but will also stun visitors with its flawless design.

During this time LG Electronics made elevators under license from LGIS, but in 1999, the merger was terminated after the acquisition of LGIS by Otis. This paved the way for the establishment of LGS Elevator in 2000.
